LegalSuites.ca is a focused search for Calgary homes with a secondary suite. We pull live MLS® listings from the Canadian Real Estate Association's DDF® feed and classify each one as legal, illegal / non-conforming, or unknown.

How suite status is detected

For every listing, we combine two signals: any structured secondary-suite fields the listing agent has flagged, and a keyword scan of the public remarks (e.g. “legal secondary suite”, “development permit”, “non-conforming suite”). Confidence is shown per listing and the matching phrase is quoted.

Suite legality on this site is an estimate. Before making an offer, verify status through the City of Calgary Secondary Suite Registry.

Data & refresh

Listings sync every six hours from CREA DDF®. Coverage is currently Calgary residential only.
